Quotations??

I don't know if any of you do this. I hope so, cuz then I'll feel better. I didn't even think of this as OCD till the other day. I have a whole list of quotation triggers; for example, of I look at the clock or someone tells me the time and it's 9:10, I HAVE to say "big fat hen." I've got to where I can usually just think ot and not actually have to sau it out load if it's on a situation where it would be REALLY inappropriate for me to say it.

I have a whole lost of them, mostly lines from childrens books or movies or songs, but not always. The other night at dinner, my son was talking and he said "now" then he paused and immediately, it popped loudly into my head " ...is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country." Yikes! You mean I'm getting new ones?!

I don't have quotations, but if it makes you feel better, I have times on the clock.

I hate 11:34 because, upside down, it looks like "hell".

I like 3:16 because it reminds me of John 3:16.

I'm not partial to 4:30am because it reminds me of waking up at 4:30am and then the Northridge Earthquake struck.

Actually, it also really trips me out. Because I have a bizarre but true story about that.

So, I was worried about my current project at work. And I decided to get in REALLY EARLY in order to try to make some more headway on it. I asked God to help me get up really early. I set my alarm for 4:30am. I am not kidding.

My alarm goes off. I turn it off and the light on, and then realize, "What am I thinking? I can't log in to the servers until 7am... this is stupid!"

I put my head back on the pillow, and at 4:31am, the Northridge Earthquake struck. Or at least, that's when my part of Southern California felt it.

You want to talk about being freaked out... that was it for me! Worried a long time that it was my fault that all those people died.

Now I think of it more as that God made sure I'd set my clock for 4:30am. Sortof as something to remind me that yes, He does listen when I pray.

    But yeah, still pretty freaky!!!

I have awakened, bolt upright, at the time when major earthquakes hit in other places. The big Mexico City one and also one in Japan. Go figure.

        Trippy!!!!

My Mom has sensed when she should call her sister... and when she did, she was able to get her sister help to save her life. And the one time she didn't, her sister died.

And she sensed she should call her mom when we were on vacation, and her mom was also on vacation... but in different locations. But she felt that her mom would be asleep, and didn't want to wake her. And that was the night her mom died.

It's so strange, the things people can know that we have no explanation of. My mother had a close friend who always seemed to know when she was troubled by something, always. It got to where she'd anticipate his call for moral support.

I don't do that, but I often know who's calling when the phone rings (and, no, I don't have caller ID.)
